Red Carpet Masquerade Ball

The Famee Furlane Carnivale and Masquerade Ball

IMG_2375I have always wanted to attend a masquerade ball. How exciting! A chance to go out with your identity partially concealed and mingle amoung other masked individuals. Saturday’s Red Carpet photo shoot and Masquerade Ball was a timely theme coinciding with Oscar weekend. Arriving guests were ushered down the red carpet to be greeted with champagne girls dressed to impress. Each girl was adorned with exotic and colourful outfits comprised of feathers, sequins and obnoxiously festive, Moulin Rouge tail ruffles! Next guests stood before the Oscar screen and had their costume ensembles photographed.

IMG_2316The upstairs was an impressive feat of fresh and pristine white table clothes with simple white settings with the exception of brightly coloured Mardi Gras bead center pieces. The simple settings held an alluring contrast to the brilliantly coloured décor above. A rainbow of balloons and masks floated above the tables while jester silhouettes and other Mardi Gras paraphernalia lined the walls and door entrances.

IMG_2736Italians are known in part for their giving nature and last Saturday evening was certainly no exception.  The event coordinator, Robert Qualizza and kitchen volunteers made certain that there was not an empty wine glass and the courses just kept on coming.

IMG_2598After speeches and a rousing performance by the Golden Spike Can Can Dancers, (http://goldenspikecancandancers.webs.com/) Famee Furlane members did not waste time embracing the jovial essence. Couples crowded the dance floors with their proficient yet informal waltzes and boogie-woogie heart. What a fun, light spirited bunch; in the business of good times, and supporting their fellow Famee.

    Hi

How does this work? Can I see what the pictures that were taken of me at this event are like to see if I want to purchase them?
